A Quick Announcement

Hey everyone,

Before we start up The Crystal Prison, we’d just like to do a quick plug for Mr Jarvis’ upcoming book. Of course you’re all probably aware of this, but here’s a little reminder that you can pre-order The Devil’s Paintbox, the second book in the awesome Witching Legacy, which comes out in March!

Is that a river of blood?!

Also, we discovered that the goodly folk of Egmont UK are bringing back The Whitby Witches in June of this year! Robiny books with new covers are our kryptonite here at Myth & Sacrifice, so we’ll be in for that as well. This edition’s sparkly new cover is by Rohan Eason – definitely one for collectors and fans of The Witching Legacy alike.

‘Ware ye the Lords of the Deep and Dark!

Finally, a huge thank you to everyone who has been reading along with us and commenting so far; your wonderful discussions have brought the Great Grand (Re)Read to life and made Myth & Sacrifice everything we hoped it would be and more. We hope you’re as excited as we are to enter the chilling world of The Crystal Prison!

  1. One more month. Just one more month to go before we’re back with Vern, Lilly and Cherry to discover what evil lurks inside The Devil’s Paintbox. Oh my gosh, the next four weeks are going to feel like the longest in my life. Okay, okay now…take a deep breath…you had to wait over a year for Fighting Pax to be published and you made it with your sanity intact so you can get through four weeks…

Speaking of paintboxes, Rohan must have dipped their brush in something magical because the cover art for the new edition The Whitby Witches really is one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever seen! I can’t wait to find out what they have up their sleeve for A Warlock In Whitby and The Whitby Child when the time comes!

So when are we destined to open our eyes and discover that we’ve been transported into The Crystal Prison? Tomorrow?

  2. Ahhhhh, that hit the spot! Thank you so much, Aufwader! You have a real talent for making me want this book so much more desperately than I did beforehand without actually giving away what happens in it! You’re an engaging writer in your own right and I can think of no higher compliment than that! I’ll need to swing by Beyond The Silvering Sea and post those theories sometime soon! By the way, are either you or Matt the enterprising Deptford Mice fan who’s been updating the TV Tropes page recently? (A word of warning to anyone who’s never visited that site before! Don’t head over to read it on a whim because as with all TV Tropes pages that focus on specific book or movie, The Deptford Mice page is absolutely brimming with spoilers!)
